I wanted to draw Orochimaru young, and the only girl his age is Tsunade, so I figured I'd give it a shot. ;P You never know, Orochimaru could have been like Sasuke - a Number 1 Rookie, and popular with the ladies. ;) He looks like he's unsure of what to do in the situation tho. XD

loved the pic. i have this fanfiction where Orichimaru's daughter was Tayuya of the sound nin and she goes back in time to get more of Orichimaru's cells to revive him. she gets close to the past Orichimaru who takes a liking to her since she shares his ideals. tsunade gets jealous and thinks tayuya actually is controlling Orichimaru somehow and doesn't believe shikamaru who also came to the past that Orichimaru and tayuya are dangerous. I hope i can finish the fan fiction. I would definitely love to add this scene here. sort a playful thing between the two of them when tsunade feels he is paying too much attention to tayuya.

you know i actually think that was the case. Orochimaru must have been great rivals with Jiraya for Tsunade's affections. maybe he finally gave up in the end, but i think there were some sort of feelings there. Saskue, Naruto and Sakura take after them so much!

Just to add some logs in the fire, let me feed your romantic hearts with a bit of the story: Orochimaru was born in a time when Konoha was being ravaged by Yamata no Orochi, the Eight-Tailed Spirit. Sarutobi rescued him just before the baby's parents were slain by the monster, and the Second Hokage had no choice but to seal within the child their nemesis.
Orochimaru grew up despised by being a Jinchuuriki, and by the age of eight joined Team Sarutobi. After the Chuunin Examination, they were attacked by Suna, and Nawaki (Tsunade's younger brother) ended up dying. After the end of the conflict, Tsunade confronts Orochimaru, demanding to know why he never returned her feelings. He tells her of his secret, and when the two of them are about to kiss, he retreats, saiyang he cannot do that.
12 years passed, and Tsunade (aparently) started to go out with Dan, who was in love with her. When Suna strikes back, Dan dies, and Tsunade is saved from the Sand Ninjas by Orochimaru (no, realy?:jawdrop:). He then asks his ANBU partner (yes, he joined ANBU in his late teens!), Sakumo Hatake (Kakashi's father) to take care of the enemy, while he escorts Tsunade out of the mess. Then, she looks to Dan's corpse, looks to Orochimaru, and embrace her savior (Aw...). He then accepts her feelings for him (and his own feelings for her) and kisses his old partner (no, he doesn't have a snake-like tounge at this point, only later), and they become lovers!

Yeah. I wrote a fan-fic called The Snake from Konoha, telling Orochimaru's past, and there I put Orochimaru like a Sannin-version of Sasuke, and in my story he and Tsunade ended up as lovers (I mean, until that part when he abducted 60 babies to inject the First Hokage's DNA and then had to flee!).
